This is a great Montana teal color sapphire. Light blue to aqua color shift. I had my faceter cut this one a bit more shallow than a standard sapphire cut. This will allow the big sapphire to be mounted in a ring. Without sticking up to high. It has a big open table, that lets the light in and out. I mined this sapphire at the end of april 2020. It was faceted by Robert Coggins. He did a great job. Big clean sapphires like this are super rare. Our mine on the Eldorado Bar sapphire deposit Missouri river. Montana. Produces some of the best sapphires in the world and for sure the best in the United States. What a pleasure it is for me to be lucky enough to mine this area. We never know what will pop out.
